We're back to normal service, as Thom and Joe turn to Thom's pick, the 2015 airsofting survival game series, Aoharu x Machinegun. Sadly, despite an excellent manga, this oddly paced, badly written, underdeveloped mess of a series is our first real dud, as Thom and Joe take to the range to try and target exactly where this all went wrong.
Along the way, Thom and Joe discuss sports anime, from Haikyuu to Blue Diamond, and how to make a good one, the shooting competitions at the Olympics, and how much Aoharu x Machinegun relies on gender subversion done better in series like Ouran High School Host Club, and wonder how this got so horribly butchered.
